Bobby Bryan, 18
Bobby is the bass player for KenYaDig. He started playing piano at the age of 2 under instruction of his father who brought him up listening to the likes of The Beatles, Billy Joel and Elton John and was introduced to jazz later on by his piano teacher at age 14. Music came natural to him picking up various instruments with ease and has since acquired the ability to play Bass, Guitar & Drums. Also involved in acting, Bobby was most recently cast in the principle role of Hank Palmer in the Warner Bros. Production, “The Judge” starring Robert Downey, Jr. In the future Bobby aspires to be a Film Composer.
Tim Duffy, 18
Tim is the pianist for KenYaDig. Tim first began taking lessons at the age of 5 and introduced to jazz at the age of 12 by his current piano instuctor, Ralph Funaro. In February 2013 he was placed in the New Hampshire All-State Honors Jazz Band and toured with them throughout New Hamshire.
Matt Pantanella, 16
Matt is the drummer for KenYaDig. At the age of 9, Matt Pantanella received his first drum set. Since then, music has been his only true passion. He started playing for his fathers funk band around 12 years of age and has been playing for talent shows, musicals, the Tewksbury High School marching and concert band. He can play many genres of music from jazz to hard rock. When he turned 15, he joined the jazz band Ken Ya Dig.
Cassandra Pearl, 16
Cassandra is the lead vocalist of KenYaDig. After being introduced to jazz in 2011, she fell in love with the genre and decided to pursue her vocal performance in jazz. Being only 15 years old, she would like to spread awaremess of jazz to teens of today and aspires to a professional jazz vocalist in the future.
KenYaDig
KenYaDig is a talented jazz band with members consisting of Bassist - Bobby Bryan, Pianist - Tim Duffy, Vocalist - Cassandra Pearl and Drummer - Matt Pantanella. The band was formed in 2012 after meeting through a jazz summer program in Lowell, MA, with Matt Pantanella joining the group later on and bringing along his smooth rythym. They perform many jazz standards with a fusion/funky twist at various events and jazz festivals throughout New England. KenYaDig hopes to spread their love and appreciation of jazz to people of all ages.
